Amber Vazquez, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, MSCP

MenoPositive Solutions’ founder, Amber Vazquez, is a 20+-year experienced medical practitioner. She is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C), a member of The Menopause Society, and holds the certification of a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP). She received her undergraduate degree at Florida State University and her graduate degree at the University of South Florida.

She has spent much of her medical career at Moffitt Cancer Center as a Nurse Practitioner managing care for women undergoing treatments for breast cancer. Upon caring for these patients, she found some of the more irritating side effects came from treatment-related hormonal changes. These include initiating, resuming, or worsening menopausal symptoms. As a result, she found her passion for women’s health and feels strongly that we can do better to help ALL women going through this journey.

Now, Amber works with women across Florida to create individual care plans that help to lessen the symptoms of menopause and optimize quality of life. Many women do not realize the overall health changes that occur during and after the menopausal transition. She prides herself on educating and empowering her patients to enable them to make a shared decision regarding their treatment plan.

As a Family Nurse Practitioner, Amber focuses on symptom management and risk reduction. Bone health, cholesterol, blood pressure, thyroid, and screening exams are all important during this stage. Additionally, she also treats common conditions, including colds, flu symptoms, rashes, sinusitis, respiratory infections, and UTIs.

When she is not working, she enjoys staying active by exercising, being outdoors, reading, and spending time with her friends and family. She is a big college football fan (especially FSU!), and loves being a new Gi-GI and Ti-Ti.
